Kids' Book Suggestions from Real Kids

Today we turn over gift suggestions to a couple of our favorite young library customers (and avid readers), Roark and Pierce.

Roark is a 5th grader at Jamestown Elementary School and his brother Pierce is a 3rd grader. Both Roark and Pierce recommend The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan and Big Nate: In a Class by Himself by Lincoln Peirce (which they both say is hilarious).

Roark also recommends:
H.I.V.E.: Higher Institute of Villainous-Education by Mark Walden

Th
e Adventures of Ook and Gluk: Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future by Dav Pilkey

Young Bond
series (SilverFin, Blood Fever, Double or Die) by Charlie Higson

Pierce rounds out his list with:
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series (start with The Lightning Thief) by Rick Riordan
The Red Pyramid also by Rick Riordan

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney

So there you have it--kid-approved suggestions for the young readers in your life. We'd love to hear what books your kids are asking for!
